Full manufacturer's warranty
Every lease car comes with a full manufacturer warranty, so you're covered for any unexpected faults or repairs during the warranty period. This means no surprise costs, just worry-free driving.
Breakdown cover
Most leases include at least one year of breakdown cover, provided by the manufacturer. So, if you ever run into trouble, you can get assistance to keep you moving.
Road tax for the duration
Forget about renewing your road tax - it's included for the full length of your lease, as long as the government don’t make any changes. That's one less thing to worry about!
UK delivery and collection
Your lease car will be delivered to your door, and when your lease ends, it will be collected from a location that suits you. Simple, stress-free, and completely free of charge.
How does leasing work?
Leasing a car is a straightforward way to drive a new vehicle without the hassle of ownership. Here’s how it works in a few easy steps:
-
Choose your car
Select your vehicle, mileage, and contract length, then get a personalised quote.
-
Apply online
Most leases include at least one year of breakdown cover, provided by the manufacturer. So, if you ever run into trouble, you can get assistance to keep you moving.
-
Get approved & sign
Once approved, you’ll need to sign your lease agreement and provide a copy of your driving licence.
-
Arrange delivery
We’ll confirm a delivery date and bring your car straight to your door.
-
Start payments
Your initial rental is typically collected 10-14 days after delivery, followed by your regular monthly payments.
Returning a Lease Car
At the end of your lease, your car will be collected and inspected. As long as the vehicle meets fair wear and tear guidelines and is within the agreed mileage, you can simply hand it back with no extra charges. If there’s any damage outside of fair wear or excess mileage, additional fees may apply.
Is a diesel right for you?
Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) are fitted to diesel cars to reduce harmful emissions by trapping soot from the exhaust. To keep working properly, the DPF needs to regenerate by burning off the soot – which usually happens during longer, higher-speed drives.
If you mainly do short or low-speed journeys, the filter can get blocked, leading to expensive repairs. That’s why diesel cars (and DPFs) are best suited to drivers who regularly travel longer distances.
Additional charges may apply for excess mileage. Finance is subject to approval and underwriting criteria. For full details on our charges, commissions, and how we are paid, please refer to our Initial Disclosure Document (IDD). Motorlet is a credit broker, not a lender.

Contract Terms Explained
Initial Rental Explained
The initial rental is a down payment you make at the start of your lease. It is typically calculated as a multiple of the monthly lease payment. For example, if the initial rental factor is ‘3’ and your monthly lease payment is £300, your initial rental would be £900 (3 x £300).
The higher the initial rental, the lower the monthly one, and vice versa. It is payable 10-14 days after delivery in most cases.
Excess Mileage Charges
An excess mileage charge is a fee you may incur if you drive more miles than what is outlined in your lease agreement. It is expressed as a cost per mile and outlined at the start of your agreement. If you are unsure on how many miles you need, you can increase the mileage during your lease.
For example, if your excess mileage charge was 10 pence per mile and you went over your total contract agreement by 2,000 miles, you’d be charged £200.
Lead Time
Lead time refers to the duration between placing an order for a new vehicle and its delivery to you. Lead times can vary depending on several factors, including the make and model of the vehicle, production schedules, and any customisations you may request. The lead time is provided by the manufacturer at the time of order.
While we strive to provide accurate lead time estimates, it's essential to keep in mind that they are estimates and may be subject to change. We work closely with manufacturers to keep you informed of any changes to lead times and to ensure a smooth leasing experience.

If you use a business lease car personally, you may be liable to pay company car tax, and it is crucial to understand how much it will be.
What is Company Car Tax?
Company Car Tax, also known as Benefit-in-Kind (BiK for short), is a tax you pay when you drive a company-provided vehicle (aka a business leased vehicle) that you also for personal use. It’s charged because HMRC sees the use of a company car as an additional benefit, on top of your salary.
Who has to pay it?
Company car tax applies to employees and directors who use a business-leased or employer-provided vehicle for personal journeys, including commuting. It’s relevant for businesses such as limited companies, public sector companies, and charities, where the car is owned or leased by the business but made available for employee use. Sole traders and most partnerships do not usually pay company car tax, as vehicles tend to be leased personally and claimed as a business expense instead.
How is it calculated?
The amount of company car tax you pay depends on three key factors:
-
The P11D value of the vehicle (list price including VAT and delivery).
-
The car’s CO2 emissions, which determine its BiK tax band.
-
Your personal income tax rate (20%, 40%, or 45%).
The BiK percentage (set by HMRC based on emissions and fuel type) is applied to the P11D value to calculate the taxable benefit amount. Your income tax rate is then applied to that figure to work out your annual company car tax.
