Cancellation Policy

This policy applies exclusively to Motorlet’s brokering services and does not relate to the contract or terms issued by the finance company or vehicle supplier. By placing an order with Motorlet, you agree to these terms.

These terms apply to all lease orders placed with Motorlet. All customers and potential customers must read, understand, and acknowledge how these conditions apply before entering into an agreement with us.

Instructions on how to cancel your order can be found at the end of this page. 

1. Cancellation Rights - Consumer

The Consumer Contracts Regulations apply to individuals acting outside of their trade, business, craft, or profession. Under these Regulations, consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period for contracts entered into at a distance (e.g. online, email, or telephone).

Your 14-day cancellation period begins on the date you sign your Motorlet Vehicle Order Form or complete an online order. Signing or submitting an order instructs Motorlet to begin brokering services, including securing a vehicle and processing your finance application.

1.1 Cancellation Within the Cooling-Off Period (No Immediate Services Requested)
If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period without requesting immediate services, your processing fee will be forfeited. No further Motorlet charges will apply.

1.2 Cancellation Within the Cooling-Off Period (Immediate Services Requested)
If you instruct Motorlet to begin work immediately during the cooling-off period—such as booking delivery, arranging a dealer transfer, securing a unique vehicle, or fulfilling bespoke requirements—and later cancel, an additional cancellation fee of £480 including VAT will apply.

1.3 Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period
If you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period and the vehicle has been confirmed as built or sourced, an additional cancellation fee of £480 including VAT will apply.

1.4 Supplier Cancellation Fees
Depending on the stage of your order, the supplying dealer may apply their own cancellation charges. These fees are separate from Motorlet’s fees and will be confirmed to you once your cancellation request has been submitted.

1.5 Cancellation After Vehicle Delivery
Once you have taken delivery of the vehicle, your agreement with the finance company becomes active. Any cancellation at this stage must be handled directly with the finance provider under the terms of their hire agreement. Motorlet is not a party to that contract.

2. Cancellation Rights – Business Customers

These terms apply to all business customers, including (but not limited to):

• Limited companies

• LLPs

• Public limited companies

• Partnerships with four or more partners

2.1 No Cooling-Off Period
Business contracts are not covered by the 14-day cooling-off rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. By signing your Motorlet order form or submitting an online order, you acknowledge that cooling-off rights do not apply and that you are bound by Motorlet’s Cancellation Policy and Terms & Conditions.

2.2 Business Cancellation Charges
If you cancel your order:

• The processing fee paid to Motorlet is non-refundable.

• Motorlet reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equivalent to three monthly rentals.

• Any deposit or Initial Payment may also be payable where applicable.

2.3 Supplier Cancellation Fees
Depending on the progress of the order, the supplying dealer may impose additional cancellation charges. These fees are separate from Motorlet’s charges and will be communicated once we receive your cancellation request.

Important Note About Finance Provider Agreements

This Cancellation Policy applies only to the services provided by Motorlet as a leasing broker.

The finance provider’s hire agreement is a separate contract, and any rights, restrictions, cancellation options, or costs associated with that agreement are governed by the finance company’s terms—not Motorlet’s. Customers must refer to their hire agreement for all vehicle contract obligations.

Upon receipt of your cancellation and payment of any associated fees, we will terminate your contract and confirm with you in writing once done so.
